Founded in Lisbon in 2009, Rock ’n’ Law brings together law firms, companies and partners for a night of live music and good company, always with a greater goal: supporting a social cause.

A cause close to all of us

In its 16th edition, Rock ’n’ Law chose to support the Vieira de Leiria Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association, whose fire station and vehicles suffered significant damage in the wake of Storm Kristin.

The funds raised go to the project “Rebuilding our home (Fire Station)”, helping to restore the facilities and vehicles the brigade needs to respond to emergencies.

It’s hard to think of a cause closer to all of us. Firefighters are there precisely when communities need them most, and being able to help them keep doing that, even in a small way, is an opportunity that makes us very happy.

Being part of it also means showing up

Rock ’n’ Law is a charity initiative, but it’s also a chance to meet people away from the screens of our Teams meetings, catch up, and share a different kind of night.

The Softway team was well represented this year! Not all of us could make it, but some of us had the chance to be at Lust in Rio for another edition full of music, reunions, good vibes and, above all, a spirit of solidarity. Because supporting a cause also means coming together for something much bigger than ourselves.

Over the years, Rock ’n’ Law has supported a wide range of projects, from social inclusion to education, health, refugee support and tackling isolation. And it’s precisely this ability to rally people around those who need it most that makes this initiative so special.

At Softway, we’re delighted to keep being part of this journey. This year, we were there for the Vieira de Leiria Volunteer Firefighters. In the years to come, we’ll be there for whatever causes come next.

Because partnerships are built on hard work and purpose.
