The telegraph, invented in 1837 by Samuel Morse, marked the beginning of technological innovation in communication, but it was only after the internet and the creation of the first social networks at the beginning of the 21st century that the sharing of images and videos between people in these platforms became commonplace.

Before 2000, holiday cards sent by mail were the norm (everyone certainly remembers Unicef's Christmas cards), but the new generations of millennials and gen z have made the use of e-cards commonplace for all kinds of occasions.

Why do we like this day? Because it's fun and fast! Whether it's an e-card, message, GIF, emoji or a video, getting in touch with people over the internet always has the chance to be instantaneous.

Create a Christmas and New Year card! Christmas and New Year are almost here, and even if there is still 1 month to go, nothing prevents you from starting to think about this matter now. If you haven't already, make a list of people you'd like to send a card to, choose the design and send it on the appropriate date. There are lots of platforms that already have pre-defined templates or you can think of something more exclusive thinking about you or your company, but don't forget to get in touch with your customers or friends!

Use this day day to get in touch with those friends you haven't spoken to in a while... maybe because you don't have any reason, or you haven't had that much time... Take advantage of the Electronic Card day to send a message, share memories or simply to say hello, you never know what a difference it can make :)
